The goal of this mission is for people who need it to pay just $1 for services. $1For Change has been created to reduce the barrier of receiving quality forensic mental health services, for people who do not have much or any disposable income and/or have already exhausted many resources on attorney/court related fees.
Forensic mental health services are, by definition, are typically services that are legally ordered. This could be any kind of evaluation or treatment. Family Forensic Focus, at the core of this initiative, provides services to children and parents who are ordered. Many forensic mental health services, such as those provided at Family Forensic Focus, are not covered by insurance. This leaves many people in a predicament to receive services that may not meet their needs, or with none at all, at a time when they are being mandated to receive them.
Donate $1, Pay $1 is the initiative. Of the 8 billion of us living on earth, if just 1% of us donated just $1, that would provide $80 million dollars worth of services! Now for those of you who are technical like me, not every continent on the planet is going to be served by someone in the United States. However, the are about 332,000,000 people in the United States alone. So that still equals less than 1/3 of our population. That could help A LOT of people. Can you spare $1 today?
